Graduation Celebration

"We are pleased to inform you, that you have been accepted to the University of St. Francis..."

With the very end of my high school career rapidly approaching, I sit and wait for a formal response. After work last week, I came home and there on the table was a letter addressed to me from The University of St. Francis. Setting my things down, I anxiously open the envelope, and pulled out the letter inside. I anticipated it to begin one of two ways, "We regret to inform you..." or "We are pleased to inform you...", obviously I was hoping for the second one. As I read, I quickly learn that I am accepted under the bridge program, with scholarships awarded for my art portfolio as well as the workshop at St. Francis I had attended earlier in the year.
I had am so thankful to receive this news. I feel accomplished - I feel validated - I feel motivated - I intend to study Communication Art & Design there, which will be a launching pad for my goals as an artist and as an entrepreneur. Classes begin in the fall.

In the mean time, I am graduating high school!!! Yes its true!!! So I will be needing YOUR HELP to celebrate that with me! I'm having a "Graduation Celebration" on June 16th, 7-10PM @ Pint&Slice on Calhoun St. If you are reading this, then you are a valued blog reader, and YES! YOU ARE INVITED!! I have rented out the 2nd floor of Pint&Slice, so we'll be able to enjoy 2 Big Screen TV's, Jarritos Mexican Soda, TONS of PIZZA, and other fun stuff!! I decided not to go with an "Open House" style, but rather, a closed private party --- Come ready for some graduation fun and food! Did I mention Guitar Hero???; oo yeah that too ;)
